Rings
Rings add nuance to our hands as they move in symphony with our conversations.
They may be simply bold gold statements or lighthearted flashes of color.
Either way, they should be expressive.
A custom engagement ring created for a couple in Greenwich Connecticut. The center stone set the tone for the ring in that one doesn't over-accessorize natural beauty. The setting is a custom platinum setting with a split shank reaching up to touch the corners of the diamonds. The stones are: a 3.76 natural cushion cut sapphire (9.8mm x 8.8mm) and two 3/4 carat F, VS diamonds (5.2mm each).
A custom engagement ring created using the client's 1.33 carat center diamond. Blending both white and yellow 18kt gold, the client wanted a wide "band" look. Additional design elements were added to the sides of the prong settings as well as to the back of the band; so that points of interest would abound no matter from which direction one viewed the ring. The stones are: 3.42 carats G/VS center stones; .50 carats bezel set diamonds on band; .75 carats natural princess cut sapphires
"Pompeii Rings" - - rather than go the standard way of creating rings which mimic the roman warrior, I chose to accent the antiquity aspect. I imagined finding a pair of rings buried beneath some ash. The gold bands have worn with "time" in such a way that the Peridot band sits slightly within the break of the Iolite band. These are totally custom made and may vary slightly from the set shown. Customers may, obviously, choose other stones if they have a color preference.
Earrings
Earrings are like a good hair style. They reflect our mood and compliment what we wear. Is it a casual hoop day or a more formal diamond drop evening?
These "Celestial" earrings were made to accompany the bracelet set and have .40 carats of diamonds flush-mounted into solid gold.
These "jackets" were created to compliment the Leaf bracelet and use 4mm emeralds with 18kt yellow gold leaves. They drop down from diamond studs as shown.
6mm cushion cut Iolites are set onto a shortened lever-back setting with pearl drops. I shortened the lever-back portion to raise the stone closer to the ear and set the pearl facing down for a touch of whimsy.
